A global insurance company was in need to upgrade their Documentum 6.5 SP2 system to Documentum 7 to get to a supported version and have access to the new client technologies and functionalities for their more than 3,000 Documentum users. Furthermore, a legacy database application had to be decommissioned and integrated into the existing Documentum platform. To provide better performance and availability with Documentum 7 the whole infrastructure of the complex environment had to be redesigned and rebuilt.
The company partnered with fme US, LLC to carry out the project together with the client’s team. As a result the insurance company now regulates a supported environment which results in saved costs for extended support.
