Challenge

Global manufacturer Hikma Pharmaceuticals faced the challenge of migrating regulatory documents from a legacy OpenText Documentum system before it was discontinued. Since they were already using Veeva for their quality documents, Hikma chose Veeva Vault RIM as their new target system. Since there was a finite time constraint, it was essential to be accurate and efficient through the migration process.

Results

All documents were extracted and enriched with additional metadata to prepare for the final migration. Then fme and the hikma team defined the transformation rules and configured Veeva Vault RIM. Finally, the regulatory documents were successfully imported and the migration verification showed an error-free and complete migration process. The original source system was then be decommissioned.
